Dr. Paik treated our 13 year old son for a fractured left ankle. Right from the first day we found his demeanor very reassuring and felt confident that he would do what is best for our son. The doctor could have recommended surgery and we would have readily agreed. However, he explained to us that while surgery may be a relatively less painful option, given our son’s age, it could negatively affect his growth later. He plastered the leg and, four months later, I am happy to tell you that my son has recovered completely. Dr. Paik is a rare example of a young doctor who has the patient’s interest at heart and does not make treatment recommendations with the objective of lining his own pocket. He is patient with kids and they feel comfortable in his presence. Keep it up doc!!
